


- The KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs (COGTA), Reverend Thulasizwe Buthelezi, joined the National Minister for COGTA, Honourable Velenkosini Hlabisa, in Richards Bay, last night, to mark the 50th birthday of Prince Ishwar Ramlutchman Mabheka Zulu.
The event was attended by senior members of the Zulu Royal Household, including Her Majesty uNdlunkulu wakwaLinduzulu and Her Majesty uNdlunkulu waseNyokeni, alongside Amakhosi, government officials, and business leaders.
A central feature of the proceedings was a formal congratulatory message from His Majesty King Misuzulu kaZwelithini, delivered by MEC Buthelezi. In the message, His Majesty commended Prince Mabheka Zulu for his consistent efforts in fostering social cohesion and bridging the relationship between the Indian and Zulu communities within the province.
In recognition of his long-standing work as a philanthropist, MEC Buthelezi and Minister Hlabisa presented Prince Mabheka Zulu with a Humanitarian Award on behalf of the Department. The award acknowledges his dedication to selfless service, through which he has implemented tangible improvements in the lives of many across KwaZulu-Natal. His initiatives have focused on supporting vulnerable populations and promoting community stability.
Speaking at the event, MEC Buthelezi noted the Prince’s loyalty to the legacy of the late His Majesty King Goodwill Zwelithini kaBhekuzulu and the late Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi.Reflecting on his milestone, Prince Ishwar Ramlutchman Mabheka Zulu stated:
“As I reflect on this 50-year journey, I extend my gratitude to my Divine Master, my parents, His Majesty King Zwelithini Goodwill KaBhekuzulu, Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi, and my spiritual guides. Our focus remains on serving humanity and fostering a peaceful environment through internal change.
